Description: DECA, an association of marketing students, is a vocational student organization designed to enhance a specific career objective in marketing, management, or entrepreneurship. Any student enrolled in a Business class is eligible for membership in local, state, and national DECA. Since 2000, members have been recognized internationally EVERY year and have travelled all over the United States representing NY State DECA and MHS! When students participate in DECA, they are experiencing the business curriculum in a very authentic way. Classroom learning is directly connected with outside learning by their participation in fundraising events, community service projects, and presenting their knowledge in case studies, role play and test situations at the different competition levels. Current business students are invited to attend the info meeting in September to learn more about DECA as well as access the enrollment form. Students must submit the enrollment form and pay annual dues by October 15th. See Mrs. Thomas with any questions.
